START THE SEASON OFF RIGHT

On May 7th, THE LEGENDS deceided to hit the highways on our seasonal opener. We decided to take a run down to Maryland, to visit our old friends THE KARAMEL DIVAZ. They had a fish fry/bike wash, that was just what the doctor ordered. We LEGENDS hit the road with good weather on our backs and miles of highway in front of us. When we arrived at CLINTON CYCLES the parking lot was packed with many mc clubs, independant riders and people just wandering by to see what the crowds were about. As usual the DIVAZ showed us love. The music and food was on point, the prices were good inside of CLINTON CYCLES (we bought a few things) and there was alot of love in the air. You couldnt ask for anything more. We stayed for a few hours and kicked it with our fellow mc's and then decided to rest up for the evening trophy party thrown by 220MC of md. Now that 220MC story is for another day, but we LEGENDS did win trophies for FURTHEST DISTANCE, FURTEST DISTANCE ON 2'S, and MOST REP MALE CLUB.

BLANCHE MEMORIAL BAPTIST CHURCH is a church in South Jamaica Queens, that serves the community in more ways then one. Every Monday several members feed and provide clothing for anyone that is in need from the neighborhood. We URBAN LEGENDS donated clothing for this cause on 6/13/09 and will for sure do it again. If you are ever on Sutphin blvd, look this church up because they are always on the forefront.

A COUNCILMAN GETS KICKED OFF

Councilman Leroy Comprie had his campaign kickoff today at the democratic center in Queens NY. Councilman Comprie is a council person that gave assistance and supported motorcyclists with intro 416a. There were many municipal servents and citizens present, including our 'community', CCMS, LOST BOYS MC, BRATS MC, BURN UNIT MC, X RYDERS , EXTREME VISIONS, NEXT LEVEL MC and others. We URBAN LEGENDS were glad to be part off this gathering and to show our support to someone who has helped and backed motorcycle issues.

It was mid March 2009 and just like last year, we LEGENDS collected cans of food and donated them to the BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA, SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL. Each year the SCOUTS collect goods for families in need. We were glad to get on board, and next year we will see if we can break 1000 cans collected in 5 days

CHRISTMAS, A TIME TO GIVE!

At this time of year (Christmas time), it's important to realize how truly fortunate we are and to take a moment to think about others less fortunate. With that in mind, when KIM BERRY contacted THE LEGENDS about a Christmas party that benefits underprivileged children we were glad to participate. THIS LITTLE LIGHT is a company that she has started to do outreach work. For the past few years they have collected donations, in the form of toys, clothing or monetary donations to purchase toys or clothing to help underprivileged children during the holiday season. We LEGENDS were glad to participate with such a good cause.

A CASUAL ENCOUNTER CAN BE A GOOD ONE!

CASUAL RYDERS is a local club of Jamaica Queens, that has been around for many years. Every year, WILL of CASUAL RYDERS throws a benefit where the less fortunate are fed. This year it was held at public school 48, where over 200 people were fed. Good community service was done that day of November 23 2008, and the URBAN LEGENDS were glad to donate to such a worthy cause. Look out for WILL and the CASUAL ones in 2009 at their next community event.

Holy Temple Church is a small but very effective church in Springfield Gardens, Queens New York. Community based, this church has served the area for many years. On wednesdays and saturdays they open their doors to feed whoever is in need of their service. TREES, BUSHES,PONDS AND MOTORCYCLES?

On October 25, 2008 the Baisley Pond Park Coalition had their concerned meeting about Baisley Pond Park. Baisley Pond Park is a community park in Jamaica Queens, that resides on 120 acres of land. Over the last several years, different programs and events have been held in the park. The results have shown that the community residences, from young to old have participated and also enjoyed themselves. This meeting was held to see how the community as well as elected positions and city agencies could elevate the parks usuage to the next level. We URBAN LEGENDS were invited to be in on the ground floor of this project. We look foward to elevating Baisley Pond Park to its highest potential.

THE BOY SCOUTS GET CANNED

From March 7-15 2008, THE URBAN LEGENDS collected cans of food and donated them to THE BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA, suffolk county council. The scouts did their annual scouting for food, where they collected canned goods to be distributed among families in need. The cause was a good one, so if you missed it in 08, look for it in 09!

On Christmas eve she always teams up with NEW CREATION CHURCH of Brooklyn and PASTOR RUSSELL to perform this task. HARLEM STAND UP!

On the weekend of December 21st 2007, HARLEM ALLSTARS M.C. sponsored a coat drive at Metropolitan Church on 7th avenue in Harlem. This coat drive directly gave benefit to the community of Harlem. It's always good to see when the men and women of the m.c. community steps up to help others. THE LEGENDS were glad to contibute to their effort.

KARAMEL DIVAZ IN THE FORECAST

The weekend of Sept. 30th was a good one. Half of the club decided to take a rode trip and enjoy the last few days of warm weather. So we rode out to Richmond Virginia to check out CAPITAL RYDAZ on friday. On saturday we rode to see FLIRT in Oxon Hill Maryland. Sunday we rode to Mechanicsville Maryland to hang with the KARAMEL DIVAZ at their cook out and fundraiser for sickel cell disease. They do this in memory of their fallen DIVA KRYSIS who had the disease. Many clubs came out to enjoy the good music, provided by DJ WILD BILL and also play horseshoes, kick ball and volleyball. Did we mention food? NAWTI and those DIVAZ kept the LEGENDS plates full. It was a good sunday...........LEGEND UP!

HEAVEN ON EARTH-IN OHIO?

....The ride to Ohio was a good one. We had no bike problems and only saw 3 highway cops the whole trip-so what more could you ask for? There were clear skies, smooth paved highways and warm weather. As a matter of fact as we did our thing in PA we ran across LYRIC of MOVING TARGETS. Her convoy had three in it and she was heading to the same place we were. We gave them the head nod and kept it popping. A few hours later we reached Ohio. As we pulled into the host hotel the loby was standing room only. Clubs from all over were there. Our only thought was to check in and get out of our riding leathers. A shower was well needed. We made a few phone calls because PASSION of CAROLINA QUEENS, had an extra room on hold for us and she was already in the mix. We hooked up with her and a few minutes later we were checked in. Two hours , a shower and a nap later we decided to hit the hospitality suite for some food and drink. The URBAN ANGELS had it set up nice. Endless food and drink plus good conversation. They made us feel right at home. After the meal we headed downstairs to the meet n greet. We ran across alot of our peoples from New York and also alot of other clubs that we didnt know. The music was good and it was just a good atmosphere. We stayed a few hours and then shut it down because it was a long day. Saturday morning started with a call from an ANGEL. She said there was a memorial ride going down a bbq and asked if we wanted to take part. A ride and food..you dont have to tell us LEGENDS twice. We headed downstairs and jumped on the back of the line. The memorial ride was cool whick took us thru alot of different parts of Cleveland. The ride was smooth except for one point where someones jacket got caught in their chain which caused them to skid out on the highway. She didnt panic, bought the bike under control and after a few minutes was able to cut the jacket from the chain. It could of been worse, but everone was thankful it wasnt. As the ride ended, and the bbq started, thats when the rain came. We legends just packed it in and waited for the nightime festivities to start. Once 10pm hit we decided to walk across the street from the hotel to the party. The URBAN ANGELS had rented out the Gallery Shopping Mall. Free food and tables set up on the upper level so you could eat and look down on the main level which housed the dance floor and dj's. At least 4 bars, so there was never a line. Clubs were in attendance from all over. They played a good mixture, new and old from down south to New York. Our helmets go off to the URBAN ANGELS. They did the damn thing. If you missed them in 07 get your clubs weight up and check them in 08...LEGEND UP!

YEA WE ARE TALKING ABOUT COUSIN BREEZY..SO WHAT!

Lets talk about COUSIN BREEZY from New Jersey. We LEGENDS first ran across her a few years ago while she was part of a local New Jersey motorcycle club. She always showed us love and we returned it just the same. She gives a lot of support to the motorcycle community, and you can always find her at a trophy party tearing up the dance floor. BREEZY is heavy into the community also. She is always on the front line when it comes to helping the youth, improving life in the neighborhood or whatever. So when her new club, NEW DIRECTIONS and BIKERS AGAINST BREAST CANCER put the call out we had to listen. They collected donations in various ways, to help cancer patients pay delinquent bills or buy medicine. Those are bills that have fallen behind due to their expensive medical care. If you or someone you know has been touched by cancer, you know sometimes it takes a toll on their financial security. We LEGENDS have donated to this worthy cause, and if you would like to also, contact BIKERS AGAINST BREAST CANCER or COUSIN BREEZY.

7/7/07 at Eisenhower park in Long Island New York, REAL DEAL 19 RIDERS had their 4th ANNUAL BBQ JUMP OFF. As in past years this crew had it on and popping. The clear skies and warm weather bought out clubs from in state and out of state. The music was constant and the burgers, hot dogs and drinks were non stop. The G UNIT RIDERS put on a stunt show featuring everything from Ghost Riding at 12 oclock to extra tight Circle Wheelies. Only thing left to say is if you missed it in 07 and they do it in 08, be there. Thats the REAL DEAL!

URBAN LEGENDS @ THE 2007 PRO CONVENTION IN ATLANTA

URBAN LEGENDS GOT DOWN N DIRTY

...Lets get right to the point. BLACK and the URBAN KNIGHTS out of New York are our peoples. So when BLACK said we should check out the DOWN N DIRTY event in Maryland, we decided to take her advice. DOWN N DIRTY is a club that has been around for awhile, 26 years so you have to give them props on that. Plus we have witnessed them roll 40 deep-so thats a good look also. Since this was a last minute thing we were able to deploy several LEGENDS out to them. We hit the highway from New York at 5pm and got out there to the event at 8:15pm. Since it started at 9 we had 45 minutes to burn, so went to KFC to grab a bite to eat. While ordering the cashier asked if we were bikers, and were we going to the DOWN N DIRTY event at club Icon. She said that she wasnt able to go but that we were going to have a good time. We were counting on it. We ate real quick and decided to get back, because we didnt want to miss anything. As we got back to Icon the door was moving quick. We were inside in less then 5 minutes. We put our LEGEND sticker down in the book and headed for the bar. Already there was a good crowd inside and a steady stream coming in. After getting a few drinks we headed towards the main dance floor. On our way we bumped into a lot of colors and people that we knew. BEAST of CLUTCH N BURN, BOOBIE of S.W.A.T., BUSA BUCK and J MONEY of TWIST N LEAN, KARAMEL DIVAZ, and STEEL HORSES Maryland chapter. N2 DEEP SISTAS and QUEEN BEEZ also showed us love. MS UNDERSTOOD was there of course right along with CHOIR BOY of the THUNDER KATZ. All the way from New York was NEXT LEVEL, COURAGEOUS WOMEN, HARLEM EXTREME, and of course the URBAN KNIGHTS. The dj did his thing mixing hip hop, to go go, to club, to reggae. We couldnt complain about the food that was being served, because it was good as hell. As a matter of fact we saw a few clubs leaving with containers wrapped for their trip home. As the night came to a close we received wishes of safe travels back to New York from people we knew and some clubs we just met. That motorcycle love was surley in the air. We came 3 hours in the rain, to stay 5 hours at this event and then turn around and go right back home. The 1 million dollar question was, was it worth it? Hell yea! TANK and the DOWN N DIRTY crew did the damn thing. And just think, next week the URBAN LEGENDS are going down to Atlanta. We cant wait to see our girl LADY NINJA of MWC!

40 DEGREE'S IN JANUARY

...You know how we are, heavy in the streets. So on Jan. 5th, 6 LEGENDS went out to FORTY DEGREE'S trophy party at the Masonic Temple in Brooklyn. Lets jump right to it. As we pulled up, the block was packed. At least seventy five people were at the door trying to get in, and traffic was backed up because a lot of cars were doubled parked. The doors were moving slow, so we decided to get on line and grin and bear it. Thats when we saw MR. YANG of HOT COMMODITIES. He came thru to show us some love and tell us about their trophy party on April 14th. He said the party was packed inside from wall to wall and it would be a minute before we got in. As it started to drizzle, we got hit with fliers from BROOKLYN BIG SHOTS, FREEWAY FANATICS, DOGG FATHER RIDERS, DIAMOND CUT DIVAZ and a lot more. So you know the next couple of months are going to be crazy. But if you have to grind it out, just grind it out!. Thirty minutes later, as we stood on line we could hear Po Po's sirens coming closer. We didnt think anything of it, because out here in New York, thats normal. All of a sudden Po Po swarmed the block like hungry jackels. They blocked all traffic, ran inside and shut the party down. Damn! So we just pulled out our URBAN LEGENDS LEGENDARY TROPHY PARTY FLIERS and started working the crowd. We couldnt let the night be a total waste right? At least we could still remember their 1st trophy party, and I guess we will just have to wait for their next one in 2008!

12 YEARS OLD AND PIGTAILS-WE HAD OUR HANDS FULL!

This is how it went down. NOELLE "SPICY" McCLENAN of Girl Scout Troop 4243, out of Jamaica Queens New York, approached the URBAN LEGENDS telling us about a program where one troop helps another troop. This second troop she was talking about are our United States soldiers overseas fighting for our country and freedom. Troop 4243 were selling girl scout cookies and any cookies that were bought would be "a gift of caring". The cookies would be shiped by the Girl Scouts Of Greater New York overseas to the soldiers. This way the soldiers could have a little taste of home, while they are serving overseas. We were glad to purchase several cases of cookies. Girl Scout Troop 4243 keep up the good work!

THANKSGIVING DAY

...So it was Thanksgiving morning, and the LEGENDS were heading out to NEW CREATION CHURCH. We received a call from LADY KIM of BUFFALO TROOPERS and MS. MOUSEY a week prior and they told us how NEW CREATION CHURCH feeds anyone in the community who needs it on Thanksgiving. They wanted us to donate food if we could, but we deceided to get in the trenches and donate ourselves. As we got to the church, and headed upstairs to the second floor, we could hear that several people were already there. As we walked in we saw alot of famailar faces and clubs. CURVES of URBAN KNIGHTS welcomed us first. DA ROCK ALL-STARZ were deep, while NON STOP of the BRATS warmed pans of turkey. FLAWLESS TOUCH RYDERS, BUFFALO TROOPERS, NOTORIOUS 21 and of course MOTORCYCLISTS WHO CARE were present. The floor was already in full swing-so we got in where we could fit in. We packaged vegetables and canned goods, so after the Thanksgiving meal was eaten, a care package could be taken home. PASTOR RUSSELL gave words of encourgement and said a prayer that was very well received by the clubs and the community. It was a very good fulfilling day...

WHO'S NEXT?

Who the hell got next? We will tell you who got next-WHO'S NEXT got next! The LEGENDS rolled out to brooklyn to check out WHO'S NEXT 2nd annual trophy party at the Masonic Temple on friday nov 10th. We partied with this crew before, last year at their 1st trophy event and we also see them around town-so we know how they get down. When we got there, there were several people outside and also alot of bikes. The warm weather was the cause of this. The weather gods gave us a few more weeks of riding out here in New York. As we got to the door we noticed that it moved smooth, it only took a few minutes to get to the front to pay. After we payed, security told us that he ran out of arm bands. He then said not to sweat it cause we wouldnt want to leave. As soon as we steped in *BAM* the joint was jumping. Alot of famailar faces, and alot of new ones to. We headed towards the floor but it was hard to navigate. Moving past the crowd and heading towards the ticket table, to get some drink tickets we came across AMANEE of HOT COMMODITIES and SASSY of GROUND ASSAULT. They had a good spot, on the stairs-where they took pictures and had a good view of all the action. After showing them some LEGENDARY love we forged on. We bought a few tickets and headed to the other side of the dance floor towards the bar. That was a hard task beacause DJ MUSTAFAH had the floor jumping. We had not seen him put it down like that in a minute. If you thought he lost it, you would have to think again. He played a little bit of everything and the crowd loved it. As we approached the bar we noticed it was backed up. We had a 10 minute wait for our drinks. The three bartenders were trying to work it, but there were just to many people. After we got our drinks we deceided to get a better vantage point. We thought the second floor would of been better, but it wasnt, you couldnt even find a seat. As we looked over the railing onto the 1st floor, thats when we caught the full affect. It was wall to wall, a sea of people-dancing, drinking, conversating, just enjoying themselves. WHO'S NEXT damn good job, see yall in the streets!

URBAN LEGENDS @ THE NY HUSTLERS EVENT

Lets cut straight to the chase, THE NEW YORK HUSTLERS! The URBAN LEGENDS went out to the Bronx to support them while they celebrated their 1st annual trophy party at Twins Lounge on Nov 4th 2006. The LEGENDS have never been to Twins Lounge, so we didnt know what to expect. As we got up to the door, there were a few people outside-thats expected. The HUSTLERS kept the door moving well, and it only took a few minutes to get inside. As soon as we got passed the door a HUSTLER pointed us towards the books, so thats where our first destination was. After placing one of our LEGEND stickers down, with all of our info on it (GOTTIES invention-thanks-it saves us alot of time when we are at the book table), we placed our John Hancock and headed for the bar. To our surprise the bar moved quick. The three bartenders had a system set up. Two handled mixed drinks, the other beer and water. After we collected our drinks, 4 between 2 LEGENDS-we headed towards the larger of the 2 dance floors. We picked a nice spot close to the dj's table. We never heard of these 2 dj's before, and were skeptical, but they put it on SMASH. A technical problem arose for a few minutes, but when the music came back on, the crowd didnt mind and got right back into it. Props to the dj's BIG CEE AND PAPI NICE. The dance floor was constantly packed and never slowed down. Around 1245, I caught a text message from 2 more LEGENDS that they were coming in. After meeting them at the door we pointed them towards the book table. To their dismay the book pen ran out of ink. The HUSTLER in charge of the books didnt have another pen, thus 2 LEGENDS couldnt leave their mark. But after that it was all good. Alot of women, good music, the bar kept moving, and alot of motorcycle love. The LEGENDS would have to give the HUSTLERS a thumbs up for their event. Keep up the good work HUSTLERS, but work on that pen game for the next time-LOL!
